History of Waibel

1977

WAIBEL was officially established and the main business was to represent gas meters, pressure regulators and gas equipment from the U.S. leading companies ROCKWELL and SPRAGUE.

1978

The Boiler Department was established to represent the American B.W.C. water heater and sell in Taiwan under the brand of ˇ§SPARTANˇ¨. The storage water heater for household use was first introduced to Taiwan and had become a new wave in Taiwan, changing peopleˇ¦s way of living.

1983

The Project Engineering Department was established to provide the engineering industry a complete set of services related to hot water equipment, including design, planning, construction, maintenance, and consultation with a view to increase customer satisfaction.

1986

In response to the booming market and expansion of service areas, the Taichung branch office was established.

1986

The Piping Department was established to represent well-known European companies such as "VONROLL" and supply HDPE piping materials for buildings, gas and water supply applications. With the advanced piping technology and top quality products, Waibel has become the industry leader in Taiwan market.

1986

The Water Treatment Department was established to represent the leading American manufacturer of water treatment equipment - ˇ§Culliganˇ¨. Waibel was the first company to introduce the RO drinking water system into household market. At the same time, it also provided various ultra-pure water systems for medical and electronic engineering applications.

1988

The Environmental Project Department was established to introduce advanced technology from domestic and abroad, providing environmental engineering services in Taiwan.

1991

The Company officially represented the largest cast iron pipe manufacturer in the U.S.A. - ˇ§Tylerˇ¨ and provided diversified piping materials to respond to the demand of high-rise buildings.

1992

The company provided large size fabricated steel pipes for Bali Ocean Discharge Pipe Project. The pipe size was 3.6M (Ø) x 36M which was the first steel discharge pipe manufactured in Taiwan.

1993

The new Wugu Factory started operation and the Logistics Department was established to provide a consistent and more efficient inventory service.

1994

The Strategy Planning Department was established to build a new corporate identity system, complete e-management and plan for market strategy to improve the service quality.

1996

The Shilin service center was established and a complete after-sales service network was built.

1996

The Dongxing Water Purification Plant and Sludge Treatment Project for the Taiwan Water Supply Corporation was completed, improving water quality in Toufen area.

1999

A fully computerized management system for purchasing, sales and inventory was completed, which reduced operating costs dramatically and also improved work efficiency, establishing a foundation for active growth.

2002

The Pingding Water Purification Plant Project in Kaohsiung was completed, improving the water quality supplied to the Greater Kaohsiung Region.

2004

The Environment Department was established to develop new products related to environmental protection as the major development in the new age of globalization.

2004

The Boiler Department officially represented the American Lochinvar boilers and sold them in Taiwan.

2004

"Tong Hsin Water Business Inc." was founded and invested by Waibel. The company had acquired the Fengshan Water Purification Plant Water Improvement Project and 15 yearsˇ¦ exclusive operating rights. It was the first R.O.T. project regarding private investment in the water purification plant allowed by the R.O.C. government.

2005

The Piping Department officially represented PE and PP pipe fittings of the Switzerland brand Georg Fisher and sold them in Taiwan.

2007

Boiler Department changed the name to Buiness Division Department I , Piping Department changed the name to Business Division Department II ,Water Treatment Department and Enviroment Department combined and changed the name to Business Division Department III.
